1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you register for an account, we collect:

• Full name and email address
• Company name, city, state, and industry
• Business details you provide (years in business, license numbers, certifications)
• Password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plaintext password)

1.2 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details. We receive from Stripe only a non-sensitive token, your card's last four digits, and billing status. Your full payment information is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

1.3 Usage Data

When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

• Proposals created (title, industry, status, and content)
• Server request logs recorded by our hosting provider, including IP address, browser type, and pages requested
• Aggregated, cookieless usage analytics collected by Vercel Web Analytics, such as which pages are visited, referring sites, approximate location (country), and browser or device type, reported in aggregate and not used to identify you individually

1.4 Job Site Photos

Photos you upload for proposal generation or your portfolio are stored securely on our servers. These photos are used to provide the photo analysis feature and are associated with your account. You retain ownership of your photos and may delete them at any time.

1.5 Voice Recordings

If you use the voice dictation feature, transcription is performed by your device or browser's built-in speech recognition. Depending on your browser, the audio may be sent to your browser provider (for example, Google in Chrome) and handled under their own privacy policy. JobWon does not receive or store the audio; we only receive the resulting text transcript, which is saved as part of your project notes.

1.6 Device and Browser Information

We collect standard technical information your browser sends with each request, such as browser type and IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived). This data is used for security, debugging, and reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service — process your inputs, generate proposals, and deliver features you request
• Process payments — manage your subscription and billing through Stripe
• Personalize your experience — tailor templates, pricing data, and AI suggestions to your industry and profile
• Improve AI accuracy — improve proposal quality over time (we do not use your individual client data to train models without explicit consent)
• Understand and improve the Service — review aggregated, cookieless page-view analytics to see which pages are most useful
• Send service communications — account confirmations, password resets, subscription alerts, and service announcements
• Provide customer support — respond to your inquiries and resolve issues
• Ensure security — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Comply with legal obligations — meet applicable laws and respond to valid legal requests

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.

3. Data Storage and Security

We take security seriously and implement the following measures:

• Encryption in transit — all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS)
• Encryption at rest — your stored data is encrypted at rest on our database servers
• Access controls — access to your data within our systems is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
• Secure infrastructure — our database is hosted on Supabase, which maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance
• Secure photo storage — uploaded photos are stored in access-controlled cloud storage buckets

No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service. Each has its own privacy policy governing data it processes on our behalf:

We only share data with third parties as necessary to provide the Service and will not share your personal information with any third party except as described in this policy or with your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention

• Active accounts — your account data, proposals, and photos are retained for as long as your account is active
• Deleted accounts — when you delete your account, your personal data and proposal content will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytical purposes
• Billing records — transaction records may be retained longer as required by tax law and financial regulations
• Voice recordings — audio is processed by your device or browser's speech recognition and is never received or stored by JobWon; we retain only the text transcript

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — you may update your account information at any time through your profile settings
• Deletion — you may delete your account at any time; we will remove your personal data within 30 days as described above
• Export — you may download a machine-readable JSON copy of your proposals and clients at any time from your account settings; individual proposals can also be exported as PDFs
• Opt-out of marketing emails — you may unsubscribe from non-transactional emails using the link in any email we send
• Data portability — the JSON export above is machine-readable and self-serve; you may also contact us at info@getjobwon.com if you need your data in another format

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. The types we use:

• Essential cookies: required for authentication, session management, and basic Service functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
• Preference storage: stores your settings, such as dark/light mode, in your browser.

For usage analytics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not store data on your device for tracking, and does not follow you across other websites. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or share cookie data with ad networks. Most browsers allow you to control or delete cookies through browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@getjobwon.com and we will delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice via email or a prominent in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after any change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
